【摘要】:Thisspecificationcoverspolystyrenematerials,bothcrystalandrubbermodified,suitableformoldingandextrusion.RecycledpolystyreneproductsareaddressedinSpecificationD5676.Thisspecificationisintendedtobeameansofcallingoutplasticmaterialsusedinthefabricationofenditemsorparts.Materialselectionshouldbemadebythosehavingexpertiseintheplasticsfieldaftercarefulconsiderationofthedesignandtheperformancerequiredofthepart,theenvironmenttowhichitwillbeexposed,thefabricationprocesstobeemployed,theinherentpropertiesofthematerialotherthanthosecoveredbythisspecification,andtheeconomics.Thepropertiesincludedinthisspecificationarethoserequiredtoidentifythecompositionscovered.OtherrequirementsnecessarytoidentifyparticularcharacteristicsimportanttospecializedapplicationscanbecalledoutusingthesuffixesasgiveninSection5.Note1-ThisstandardcombineselementsfromISO1622-1-2andISO2897-1-2,butisnotequivalenttoeitherISOstandard.
