【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardspecifiesamethodfordeterminingthenon-volatile-mattercontentbymassofpaints,varnishes,bindersforpaintsandvarnishes,polymerdispersionsandcondensationresinssuchasphenolicresins(resols,novolaksolutions,etc.).Themethodisalsoapplicabletoformulateddispersionscontainingfillers,pigmentsandotherauxiliaries(e.g.thickenersandfilm-formingagents).Forthemethodtobeusableforunplasticizedpolymerdispersionsandrubberlatices,thenon-volatileresidue(whichconsistsessentiallyofthepolymericmaterialandofsmallquantitiesofauxiliariessuchasemulsifiers,protectivecolloids,stabilizers,solventsaddedasfilm-formingagentsand—especiallyforrubberlatexconcentrate—preservingagents)hastobechemicallystableunderthetestconditions.Forplasticizedsamples,theresidue,bydefinition,normallyincludestheplasticizer.NOTE1Thenon-volatile-mattercontentofaproductisnotanabsolutequantitybutdependsuponthetemperatureandperiodofheatingusedforthedetermination.Consequently,whenusingthismethod,onlyrelativeandnottruevaluesfornon-volatile-mattercontentareobtainedowingtosolventretention,thermaldecompositionandevaporationoflowmolecularmassconstituents.Themethodisthereforeprimarilyintendedfortestingdifferentbatchesofthesametypeofproduct.NOTE2Thismethodissuitableforsyntheticrubberlaticesprovidedheatingforaspecificperiodoftimeisconsideredappropriate(ISO124specifiesheatinguntilthelossinmassofa2gtestportionfollowingsuccessiveperiodsofheatingislessthan0,5mg).NOTE3In-housemethodsfordeterminingnon-volatilematteroftenincludedryingwithinfraredormicrowaveradiation.Standardizationofsuchmethodsisnotpossible,sincetheyarenotgenerallyapplicable.Somepolymercompositionstendtodecomposeduringsuchtreatmentandthereforegiveincorrectresults.ISO3233andISO23811specifymethodsfordeterminingthevolumeofnon-volatilematterinpaints,varnishesandrelatedproducts.
