【摘要】:Therequirementsinthispracticeareintendedtocontrolthequalityoftheradioscopicimagestoproducesatisfactoryandconsistentresults.Thispracticeisnotintendedforcontrollingtheacceptabilityofthecasting.Theradioscopicmethodmaybeusedfordetectingvolumetricdiscontinuitiesanddensityvariationsthatarewithinthesensitivityrangeofthispractice.Thedynamicaspectsofradioscopyareusefulformaximizingdefectresponse.1.1Thispracticecoversauniformprocedureforradioscopicexaminationofcastings.1.2Thispracticeappliesonlytoradioscopicexaminationinwhichanimageisfinallypresentedonadisplayscreen(monitor)forevaluation.Testpartacceptancemaybebasedonastaticordynamicimage.Theexaminationresultsmayberecordedforlaterreview.Thispracticedoesnotapplytofullyautomatedsystemsinwhichevaluationisperformedautomaticallybyacomputer.1.3Duetothemanycomplexgeometriesandpartconfigurationsinherentwithcastings,itisnecessarytorecognizethepotentiallimitationsassociatedwithobtainingcompleteradioscopiccoverage.Considerationshallbegiventoareaswheregeometryorpartconfigurationdoesnotallowforcompleteradioscopiccoverage.1.4Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.TheSIunitsgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.5Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
