【摘要】:Thesulfurcontentofgaseoushydrocarbons,LPG,andLNGusedforfuelpurposescontributestototalSOxemissionsandcanleadtocorrosioninengineandexhaustsystems.Someprocesscatalystsusedinpetroleumandchemicalrefiningcanbepoisonedbytraceamountsofsulfur-bearingmaterialsinthefeedstocks.Thistestmethodcanbeusedtodeterminethetotalvolatilesulfurcontentinprocessfeeds,tocontrolthetotalvolatilesulfurcontentinfinishedproductsand,asapplicable,tomeetregulatoryrequirements.PracticeD1072haspreviouslybeenusedforthemeasurementoftotalsulfuringaseousfuels.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftotalvolatilesulfuringaseoushydrocarbons,LiquefiedPetroleumGases(LPG)andLiquefiedNaturalGas(LNG).Itisapplicabletoanalysisofnaturalgaseousfuels,processintermediates,finalproducthydrocarbonsandgenericgaseousfuelscontainingsulfurintherangeof1to200mg/kg.Samplescanalsobetestedatothertotalsulfurlevelsusingeitherpre-concentrationmethodsorsampledilutionusingadiluentgas.Themethodologyforpreconcentrationanddilutiontechniquesisnotcoveredinthistestmethod.Theprecisionstatementdoesnotapplyifthesetechniquesareusedinconjunctionwiththistestmethod.Thediluentgas,suchasUHPnitrogen,zeronitrogenorzeroair,shallnothaveasignificanttotalsulfurconcentration.1.2Thistestmethodmaynotdetectsulfurcompoundsthatdonotvolatilizeundertheconditionsofthetest.1.3Thistestmethodcoversthelaboratorydeterminationandtheat-line/on-linedeterminationoftotalvolatilesulfuringaseousfuels,LPG,andLNG.1.4Thistestmethodisapplicablefortotalvolatilesulfurdeterminationingaseoushydrocarbons,LPG,andLNGcontaininglessthan0.35mole%halogen(s).1.5ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard..1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SeeSections4.1,7.3,7.4,11.2,andSection8.
